There have been an increase in gaming-related IP filings by Japanese companies to protect classic hardware equipment and programs that are integrated with Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cloud, and Billing technologies. With the scope of IP protection extending into Trademarks (for Game titles) and Designs (for hardware equipment, and images), it is evident that the Games industry require multifaceted IP protection.
