Q: I did not receive my confirmation email. How do I check if I have been registered?

A: Please check your spam mail folder to see if you received any emails from [email protected]. Alternatively, contact us.

Q: I have registered but am unable to attend the event. Can I cancel/transfer my pass to someone else?

A: Do note that refund is not allowed for passes which have been purchased, but you may transfer your pass to someone else. Contact us to update the records.

Q: I did not manage to register by 30 August. Can I still walk in on the event day?

A: Yes, but note we will only accept PayPal payment for onsite registration for our Global Forum on Intellectual Property (GFIP) Conference, while walk-in registration is available for our complimentary events at IP Marketplace.

Q: I registered for the virtual pass but now I want to attend in-person. Do I need to re-register?

A: If you wish to come down to watch the free sessions, please register for the IP Marketplace physical pass by 30 August 2022 to convert your pass. Alternatively, you can come down to Marina Bay Sands and do onsite registration. 


Q: I am a virtual pass holder. Where do I go to log in to watch the sessions? How do I know what sessions I can watch?

A: Log into your account with your unique-assigned PassCode at the Virtual Platform to start viewing the sessions. Do note that the access is automatically limited based on your pass type. If you are a virtual pass holder, view the online broadcast schedule here.

Q: I am a virtual pass holder but I did not receive any PassCode. How can I log in?

A: Please check your spam mail folder to see if you received any emails from [email protected]. If you have not received it, you can trigger an email notification by going to the Virtual Platform, selecting “Lost Passcode?” and entering your email address which you have used to register for IP Week.

Do note if you have just registered, do give us a day to populate your IP Week @ SG Virtual Platform accounts. 

Q: I am facing issues navigating the Virtual Platform, who can I approach to ask for help?

A: Once you are logged in, please select “Need Assistance?” to get help via our online chat helpdesk.

Q: Why can’t I make appointments with any delegates?

A: The meeting feature is only available for all conference and IP Marketplace delegates to make bookings to meet fellow delegates on-site. If you wish to make appointment, do consider registering for IP Marketplace to access more features and attending in-person.


Q: What time do I need to turn up for registration?

A: Registration for GFIP and IP Marketplace starts at 8.00am daily on 6-7 September.

Important – In line with the prevailing Safe Management Measures for large scale events >500 pax, do note that all delegates must be fully vaccinated. Please see below details of how to present your vaccination status.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: The dress code for our events is business formal.

Q: How do I find my way to the Event?

A. IP Week @ SG would be taking place mainly at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre on Level 5. Click here for travel directions. To make your way around our events, please see the floorplan below. Registration area is located near the Level 5 escalators.

Q: I am eager to make connections at IP Week @ SG – can I book an appointment with a fellow participant?

A: This year, we present an exclusive Virtual Platform for you to network with our delegates and partners. You can see recommended profiles and set up meetings via the platform. Click here to find out more.

Accounts would be automatically created for all GFIP and IP Marketplace delegates (programme view and appointment access), as well as virtual pass holders (limited access).

Not sure if you have an account? Look out for emails from our secretariat account ([email protected]), which would include your auto-generated passcode to access the platform.

Q: Are masks required for the event?

A. Based on the latest guidelines, masks are optional for events from 29 August. We would not enforce the wearing of masks during IP Week @ SG, but we encourage you to do so if you are feeling unwell during the event.

Q: Am I required to be Vaccinated to attend?

A: Based on the latest Safe Management guidelines, Vaccinated-differentiated SMMs (VDS) would be required for IP Week @ SG. 

To facilitate your entry before the registration area on 6 and 7 September, please ensure you have on standby the TraceTogether app (can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play) or token to present your vaccination status. 

Please find below the important note:

1. For local delegates, please refer to point 4 of the guidelines to find out if you meet the criteria to enter and participate.

2. For foreign delegates, only fully vaccinated travellers can enter and remain in the event venue. Vaccination certificates would not be acceptable documents for entry, and you are required to download the TraceTogether app (Instructions here), for us to verify your vaccination status. Please also check against the ICA website for latest visa and travel requirements on entry to Singapore. 

Please treat our working staff and fellow participants with respect and courtesy. 

The organisers reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to limit or deny access of any entity or individual to the conference.

Q: I am not feeling well. Can I still come?

A: Please exercise social responsibility by taking a self-administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART) before you attend any in-person events. If you are not feeling well or suspect that you may have come into contact with someone infected with COVID-19, please consider staying at home and watching the sessions online at the Virtual Platform. The online access would be determined based on your pass type.

Q: How do I obtain Public CPD points as part of my attendance this year?

A: Public CPD Points are available only for GFIP Delegates who are attending in-person. Participants who wish to obtain CPD Points must comply strictly with the Attendance Policy set out in the CPD Guidelines, on 6-7 September by doing the following:

  • Participants are reminded to sign in on arrival and sign out/log out at the conclusion of each day of the event in the manner required by the organiser. The counter is stationed near the registration area.
  • Participants must not be absent from each day of the event for more than 15 minutes. Participants may obtain 6 Public CPD Points for each day of the event on which they comply strictly with the Attendance Policy.
  • Participants who do not comply with the Attendance Policy on any particular day of the event will not be able to obtain CPD Points for that day.

Q. Can I watch recorded sessions if I am unable to make for the sessions?

A: We would be making some of the recordings available to watch on-demand at our Virtual Platform for a limited period of time. More details would be sent to you after IP Week @ SG. (Note: some features like networking and viewing of GFIP sessions are restricted to GFIP Delegates only.)
